Ciolac Alexandru Paul, also known as Preafericitu' nv140 or Cholo, is a complete artist. A hip-hop performer, artistic manager and businessman known for his courage to promote art where you can only find hate, lies and violence.
Paul was 7 years old when he started to play violin and piano at the local Music School from Ramnicu Valcea.
His passion for these two elegant instruments brought him a lot of awards and diplomas to certify the level of knowledge and talent in music.
Lately, when he was 14 years old, Paul discovered the passion for lyrics and soon he started to create some texts for several local young music bands. This passion gave him the possibility to earn extra-money for his pocket and also brought him a lot of new friends.
That is how he met Marius, also known as "Da' Black" - a good voice with a perfect atitude and that presence specificly seen to all the good rappers from all times. Da' Black needed a little retouching for his texts and some small guidance and ideas for the career. The collaboration between Paul and Da ' Black was equitable for both parts and worked so well that a young succesfull producer proposed them to join the same team and start a hip-hop band which he wanted to sign up with imediatelly. That is how "Ultimu' Cuvant" (translated as "The Last Word") was born.
Unfortunately, after one year, the newly formed group had to fall apart because Da' Black changed his residence and he started a new life which kept him away from his town of origin and his friends.
A personal clothing line named "Beciu' Lu' Neacsu - OTHERGROUND LINE", some TV and occasional gossip column appearances, winner of some local hip-hop battle shows brought him again the atention of all the good producers from his area. The studio experience and also the connections that he had in music industry, allowed Paul to start an early training, working for record companies, then set off on his own with Beciu' lu' Neacsu Entertainment.
Together with Albulescu Mircea (a.k.a. Kemo) and the late rappers K-rie and Baboi, the founding members of the hip-hop band named "veRbal", Paul (performing as Preafericitu' nv140) managed to obtain the right to further use the name of the independent label "Killah Records" to promote the local Hip-Hop movement.
Paul also joined the band and he became member with equal rights in 2007 when "veRbal" decided to work at the second official album.
This second official album of "veRbal" never came out because the market was oversaturated of young music bands and the leading team which seemed to dictate the taste in romanian music wanted to collaborate only with K-rie as a producer. Their producing team was not focusing on hip-hop productions because this musical style never produced money in Romania and it cannot be labelized as commercial.
The only option remained was for everybody to focus on solo albums.
Preafericitu' nv140 earned a reputation as an astute workhorse and jack-of-all-trades in the music industry, but his career depended all the time on someone.
As a husband and a father of two beautiful girls, Paul decided not to waste time and money on his passion anymore.
Songs like "Respect de sine" (translated as "Self Respect") will appear from time to time because the passion for music never died.
